Lumlamelut Laura Wee Lay Laq (’77)
Lumlamelut Laura Wee Lay Laq’s ceramic career has spanned over four decades. Her one of a kind, hand built, burnish and sawdust fired vessels have been shown locally, nationally and internationally and are located in numerous public, private and corporate collections. Recent exhibits include the inaugural Museum of Anthropology’s, Audain Gallery, ‘Borderzones’ exhibit and the Talking Stick Festivals ‘Coming to the Fire’ exhibit. In 2015 she was one of six recipients to receive a BC Creative Achievement Award for First Nation Art.
